Well, I am finally back in Missouri in my own home, where it's so lonely. Lol..... Heard from Justin and he's finally going to his spot *fingers crossed* tomorrow. He will be in a very "HOT" spot and so my stress level is somewhat high but trying to stay positive and focus on putting it all in God's hands. I know he is going to keep Justin safe n bring him home to us asap.

On the baby front, I am 26 weeks and still losing weight..... I'm over 20 lbs lighter and dr's are ok with it since the baby's fine and growing my measurements are a little bigger than my gestational weeks but dr is fine with that. So the one midwife I see thinks b/c I've been having braxton hicks contractions for a few weeks now that I'm going to be going before my due date. I'm shooting to go around the 1st week of December lol..... I am headed back to Ohio in November to stay there til after the baby's born. If everything goes according to plans I will be staying till after my 6 weeks appt and then my mother in law will be traveling back with me to help me get settled in with the 2 kids. Then hopefully Justin will be headed home soon thereafter.

Well for the past 2 weeks I have been in Ohio visiting family. We attended the annual family reunion, and just been hanging around with friends and family. So far since Justin left I have been so spoiled by being able to talk and text him everyday. He's learned alot and he has been trained as MEDEVAC..... they've done missions where he's had to insert an IV into someone, drag a soldier badly injured in line of fire many feet, and also other medical things. I didn't expect him to like it b/c he is afraid of needles but when he first had the IV class he got it on his first try. I guess there was one guy who was on his 10th person and still was having trouble....glad I wasn't one of his testies. lol

Well he graduates this Thursday from the combat training. Then he has a 4 day pass for this weekend. Had we knew that back when he left I woulda scheduled to fly him back home or vice versa. But we didn't know till 2 days ago so unfortunately we won't get to see him. But we have arranged for him to be able to rent a car and drive from El Paso, Tx to our very wonderful friends house in Abilene, Tx to visit for the weekend. So at least he gets to spend his free time with someone.

So on August 18th he finally leaves for Camp Bastion, Afghanistan. His paperwork says he will return no later than March 30, 2010 so hoping this time will go by fast.

Well yesterday we took Justin to the airport for his flight to Texas. He will be in Texas for a month doing combat training then heading to Afghanistan where he will be till about March time frame. We miss him so much and it's only been 24 hours. However, we will be heading to Ohio for August for our annual family reunion to that will be fun.

Went to dr's this morning and baby is doing great. Heartbeat was 160 and strong. I've lost 10 lbs these past few weeks due to morning sickness. Next appt is June 24th....

That's right after 2 years of trying we have successfully gotten pregnant!

It took two rounds of Clomid and BOOM I'm preggo!

God works in wonderous ways and I just cant wait.

As of right now I'm due Dec 21st.

well our computer is still down and so it's been a long time since I have been on to read blogs or do much of anything. Our holidays were pretty festive. I cooked on Christmas for our family and a few friends. Then new year's the same.....

Blayne is having fun getting bigger and cuter by the minute. We are still waiting on a new addition to the family but I'm still not ovulating so I go to the OB this Friday and discuss Clomid.....

I am on the library computer and have checked my email and had 300 emails wow!

Well so far things are going ok.....house is full of family and we did end up with a new car! They totaled our galant and last week we went and picked out a 2003 Jeep Liberty (silver) and it's Trail Rated so it's 4 wheel drive!

We love it~! So much bigger and roomier than the galant.....

Monday not a good day

Well Monday this week was not at all exciting for me. I took my sister to a meeting she had in Clinton with a lady that helps you find a job. After it was over we were headed to a few thrift shops and do some other errands. As I was exiting the parking lot a man crashed into my driver side back bumper. It was not at all fun. The car jerked a little bit and so we moved the vehicles out of the way contacted the police and waited. The officer came and took our info and everything and told us due to it being on private property he couldn't do an official investigation...... so it was up to the insurance to fix the automobiles. Initially I was ok stomach was turning and the kids were holding their heads and we were just in shock. SO after we left there thank god the car was drivable. I headed to see Justin b/c I was shook up and was just all a sorts......

So Tuesday the kids woke up and seemed ok but they were still real sleepy and complaining head was hurting so I thought it best to get them checked out. So his pediatrician told me to take him to ER for an evaluation....so off we went to the ER.....they decided since he was 2 and really couldn't tell us where it hurt and all the ER doc did a cat scan.....(luckily he fell asleep and slept through the scan) everything came back normal but was told to give him Motrin for 2 days every 6 hours and follow up with doctor in 2 days. So we have an appt. Friday morning. He seems ok today still holding his head a little but a little more energetic today.

I am fine other than a headache every now and then, and my back hurts just a little but I am fine. My sister got checked out too at the ER.....she has a huge lump on her neck due to muscle spasms and is on medication and is not allowed to work so she can not look for a job right now...... So, the insurance adjuster is on his way to check out the car and assess the damage....So hopefully they can get if fixed within the next few days....It's a big noticeable dent....The guy who hit me his insurance is the one paying for it all he admitted it was his fault and so I was lucky we didn't have to have any discretions of who's was doing what. So hopefully everything will be worked out and car will be repaired quickly.

Since my last post...lots has happened.

1. My sister and her children are out here and doing fine. Adjusting well. DJ definitely likes school but was nervous first few days.....My sister is in the process of getting a job, and getting things going with apartment stuff.

2. Justin was selected to work in Honor Guard......He will be doing that off and on for a year (every other month) He had his first funeral this morning and almost had to play TAPS on the bugle since the recording machine was broken. So he brought a practice one home so maybe next time he will get to actually play it. He said it's interesting and will be an interesting year.

3. Things are still so so on the baby update! So we'll see. I go back in December or January to talk about if I'm ovulating or not and discuss medication to be put on to help ovulate. SO hopefully there will be a 2nd baby coming sometime next fall.

Well that's about it for now. Our laptop is down and so the regular computer is running but slowly so gonna get that fixed and then I will post some interesting photos and videos of Blayne.

Well next week I am headed to Ohio for just 2 1/2 days......My sister and her children are moving here to Missouri....her boyfriend of 15 yrs has been mentally and sometimes physically abusive towards her and she now (after many attempts of family talkin to her) she has decided to leave him and move far away to where he can't hurt her anymore. He is a drug user and when he tries to go off them he goes through withdrawals and fights with her, takes it out on the kids, and just is plain old rude in every which way. So finally I got her to admit it's best to leave and give the kids a better life out here. For the first 30 days she will be staying with us....(missouri law for helping in assitance with housing and stuff with her low income) so it'll be nice to have my two nephews and neice here but will be a houseful. That's ok tho it's the price we are willing to pay so that I don't have to wonder everynite if he actually is going to hurt her this time. He has once tried to strangle her before in front of my nephew but he went to rehab and she took him back. Now he has threatened to kill her, the kids and my dad many times and she's had it FINALLY!

Well I know I should have said much but I needed to get it off my chest.....15 yrs is a lot! Pray for me and Blayne as we have rented a minivan to drive to Ohio to pick up the kids and my sister..... We will be leaving Wednesday afternoon and coming back Friday night.

Well I know it's been a while since my last post.....Nana did not thankfully have a stroke. It was some sort of amnesia.... I guess when it happened she was claiming it was the year 2009 and couldn't remember what she was doing and why she was doing it. So they ran some tests and watched her for a few days. Haven't heard much since but will post as I hear more.

However, Blayne turned 2 last week on the 2nd..... we threw a little party with just us and some friends from around here. He enjoyed all of his cards, presents and cake of course. So now he's definitely a big boy! Friday he went for his 2 yr old checkup...... He weighs 26 3/4 lbs and is 33 inches tall. He is doing great for the growing chart. He does not need any shots til he's 4 now....

That's about it for now.... Just been a little down lately got some things on my mind and stuff.....

On the road again....

Well tomorrow we leave for Ohio......12 hours is not all bad.....we will be heading there for our first family reunion....A lot of the people we never met will be there so it'll be mine and Blayne's first reunion. We will be in Ohio for about 5 days and then afterwards we head down to Alabama and Mississippi to visit with two familes we met over in Japan. Blayne will get to see his friend who was born the same day as him at the same hospital just a few hours apart. We haven't seen them since we left Japan. They are out of the military and in Moody, AL now so we are stopping off to see them for dinner and catch up on things. Then we're off to Biloxi to visit the Nix's for about a week. We haven't seen them in almost 2 years and they were there the day of Blayne's delivery. Robyn was there during the labor and delivery and was my mom for the day lol. So they haven't seen Blayne other than pics since the day they left on his birth day.

So I won't be posting for about 2 weeks but will definitely post about our adventures and visits....and post pics too.

A Trip to the ER

Well last night was our very first trip to the ER. No it wasn't for me and it wasn't for Blayne it was for Justin. He woke up yesterday morning with real bad nausea and a lump he noticed on his abdomen. So he went to work came home and began to complain about the pain. His eating had definitely decreased and he was walking kinda funny. So I called the TriWest number and talked to a lady for Urgent care. She said we could go ahead to the ER and get it checked out. We thought that it was a hernia. So we hurried and got there. Checked in and waited forever or it seemed like. So then when they finally got us back we waited another 20 mins for the doc to come in. She finally came in and felt the lump and Justin jumped and was definitely in pain. She said she wanted to do some bloodwork and urinalysis to check some things but it was not a hernia it looked like just a inguinal swollen lymphnode. So they came in and drew blood then we waited another hour for her to come with results. Finally at 12:30a.m. Dr. came in and said everything looked fine and we needed to follow up on base at the clinic in the morning. So now we're waiting on the nurse to call back and give us an appt.

Well today I turn 25 years old....Wow that seems like a big number but it isn't. Most people start getting worried they are half way to the big 30 but to me it's just a number. I woke up this morning and got my son out of Blayne and he was drenched in pee from going through his diaper so that was a nice present lol...

Also, Justin wrote me an email and says he's not feeling good....(must be getting what I had last week) and so today is not gonna be a good day......But that's ok as long as I'm with my family that's all that matters.

We will be venutring to Ohio on the 1st of August for a family reunion (justin's side). This will the be the very first one Blayne and I will attend. So lots of people and I will definitely need to try my best at remembering names lol......

After our stop in Ohio we will be heading down to Mississippi to visit some close friends of ours from Japan. We haven't seen them since the day Blayne was born. That was the day they left the island. So we'll be going to see them for a few days too.

Well we went to the dr's yesterday. He is fine as far as we can tell. She took an xray of his belly and it showed pockets in his intestines but no big constipation signs or anything. So she just told me to give him a little prune juice and see if it helps. Well we got home and 2 hours later (without juice) he finally went. WOO HOO!

Well today I dropped Justin and his friend Benji off at St. Charles, MO. This is where the Katy Trail starts. They will be biking from St Charles all the way down to Clinton, MO. (230 miles) We left yesterday and stayed up there over night and then Blayne and I left for home this morning. They are planning on biking from about 8am to 8pm with making stops at different places such as caves, and site seeing places. They expect they should make it back here by Sunday but who knows depending on if they really do ride all day. So today marks the first time we've been away from each other since Justin was at tech school. So we'll see how well I do lol.....

Another thing that needs attention is Blayne is having some problems. He has not gone #2 in over a week and recently when he goes to the bathroom he cries and screams like it's burning or something. So I called the clinic and he's seeing a doctor on Friday. So he needs all the prayers.... IT's very difficult to see him this way b/c it's everytime too. Only time is when he's asleep. I just hope it's nothing serious and I do pray that God takes care of it.

Last weekend we took a family vacation up to Worlds and Oceans of Fun in Kansas City, MO. We stayed in a cottage right outside the gate. It was quite fun. Our friends Benji and his daughter Kylee tagged along with us. It was very hot and humid but it was fun. We rode some roller coasters, went to the water side and had fun on the slides and stuff. Blayne really enjoyed the kiddie rides. He didn't want to leave once he got on one lol Some of them he rode two and three times.

There is a newest addition the Evans family.....On july 5th at 9:28 p.m. my nephew Brendan Phillip Evans was born....He weighed in at 5lbs. 9 oz. he was 4 weeks early but is doing great. He will have to stay in a few more days but my sister in law comes home today. I can't wait to see pics of my nephew....I have to go and get the diaper bag prepared quick....He came earlier than expected.....

Urgent Prayer Request...

While we were away this weekend we came home to a injury in the family. Last night we got home about midnight and on our voicemail there was a message from Justin's mom about our one Aunt who was life flighted to a hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
The story:
Our Aunt Lee Martinek brought her horse to our Nana and Adzi's house to ride around. THe horse somehow got spooked and reared up and Aunt Lee fell off. She was injured very bad and was sent to the hospital near the house. They were worried she was going to be paralyzed and so they flew her by helicopter to Cleveland. She was having feeling in her body so they weren't sure exactly what was wrong. Today we got an update this morning she has broken 4 out of the 7 vertebrae in her neck but still has feeling in her body. She is to wear a neck brace and not move her neck for awhile..... They may send her back home today but not sure.... So please just keep her in your prayers and I will keep you posted as I know more .....

Update from Doctor's

Well I guess I misunderstood the nurse on the phone. As of right now I am not ovulating.....I misunderstood the nurse on the phone. So as of right now I am to continue with the Metformin and continue exercising in hopes that this helps. Then if by August I still have not had a cycle then I have to take the Prometrium again as she does not want me to go longer than 3 months without a cycle. So then if I still am not having cycles then I need to take the prometrium again in November and then do the bloodwork again in November. If then I am still not ovulating she will then discuss with me to put me on Clomid to help make my ovulate. So needless to say I was very depressed and frustrated yesterday and really down. But I prayed and the Lord gave me a peace at mind that he's just not ready to give me a child yet. So I am just reading my bible and praying for the strength to get through this and help get my weight and health back in order and I know then the Lord will help me whether it's naturally or with medicine. Thanks for all your prayers and I will keep you posted.

Diet and Exercise

Ok well I finally am posting the first one about my new diet and exercise routine. I don't really want to take extremes right now as we are still "trying" so I have just changed my eating habits and added a bit more exercise to my routine.

So this past weekend Justin and I went out and got mountain bikes. Plus a child carrier for the back on mine for Blayne to ride in. Well Saturday I took Kylee (a little girl who's staying with us for a few weeks with her dad who works with Justin) and we went down on the Katy Trail. I knew I wasn't in good shape with my asthma and all to go far but I figured I'd try it out and see how far I could get. So we started out down the street to the trail. Then we got on the trail and headed towards Calhoun..... We got probably 1 1/2 miles down the trail and I had to stop.....I rested for a few mins to catch my breath b/c I forgot my inhaler. Well Kylee then asked if we could head back home b/c she was hot and tired as well. So we got back on our bikes and headed back towards Windsor....We got back to the opening where we started and I stopped. My legs felt like spaghetti lol....so I hopped off and walked the bike up the street to the house. I walked in the house and flopped on the couch. Boy that was the first time I had been on a bike since before Blayne was born.

Needless to say, I definitely was ready for more later on. I got up the nerve adn we all went biking down the trail on Monday night after the boys got home from work. It was a nice ride we actually went farther than we did on Saturday this time. I was feeling better than the first time. Still I had no inhaler so I had to be careful and make sure not to push myself too hard too fast. So we went probably 2- 2 1/2 miles that night. Kylee wanted to head back tho b/c it was getting dark and she was a little scared. So that night my legs still were burning (which was a good thing for exercising) but they didn't feel like the spaghetti they did before so I was more anxious to continue doing this as a daily routine. Well on Tuesday we ended up going again but this time we took the trail towards Sedalia..... We got about 2 miles down and it was just a beautiful ride but my legs definitely were burning and asthma was acting up again. So we rested and then headed back home. Yesterday I took the day off to kinda give my body time to get used to it. We are trying to go for a 30 minute bike ride everyday and also Justin is letting me get an elliptical machine pretty soon too. So I will be biking at least 30 mins everyday after dinner on weekdays and then sometime on weekends depending on weather. So I'm hoping with my new eating habits and the bike rides for now adn then addition to the elliptical when I get one will help me lose the weight I would like to so that way I don't need to turn to diet supplements or anything else. Plus I'm hoping with all this exercising my body will go back to letting me have regular cycles and help me get pregnant without fertility drugs or anything like that.

I will keep you posted as the weeks go by. ****however I still have yet to get a scale so I won't know anything til I get a scale if I actually lose weight**** (except if my clothes fit looser and such)

Well in our living room we have 4 big windows....there is a pull down shade on it and then sheer white curtains the last owners left up for us. Well the way our living room is set up the 2 front windows put a major glare on the TV so when we're trying to watch the news or a movie or what not it's sometimes hard to see in a certain spot on the couch. So I decided I was gonna try my hand at curtains.

Well a few weeks ago at WalMart I found a tan fabric that was $1 a yard so I bought 10 yards. Well this past weekend we just pretty much sat around and relaxed as a family. On Saturday while the boys were watching a guy movie I decided to try my first two panels. I was impressed at how well they came out and wanted to share the picture with you.....

Medical Update...(not for men)

Well last week my OB's nurse called me with my test results. Apparently everything is ok, on day 21 when they took my progesterone levels I was ovulating. So everything was good. And then she said the Dr would like to redo another set of levels in 6 mos. That was all she said.

So here's the questions still in my mind..... 1. If I am ovulating why am I not having a cycle? 2. Do I still take the metformin? 3. Was I only ovulating because of the medication that I was on in beginning of May? 4. What about my ultrasound results? 5. Have you diagnosed me with PCOS and just not tell me?.............and a few more that I can't think of right at the moment

So needless to say, I have already had a drs appt scheduled for the 23rd of this month and she told me I didn't need to come in unless I had questions.... Well I do have some and would like to know more about my results...... I ended up just keeping my appt. so that way I can go in with the list of questions and hopefully get a better explanation of the situation. Because if I already have ovulated....then why have I not still had my visitor....... it's been 40+ days.......

Well just thought I'd keep you posted in case some of you were curious......(mainly family and some close friends that have been praying for me since it all started)

Per her request I am posting my Wonton Recipe.... While we were staying with them when we first got here I made a few different dinners for her and the rest of the family. I got this recipe off a friend of mine over in Okinawa Japan and everytime I make it just about everyone of them is gone.

Wonton Recipe:
1 lb. ground beef (extra lean to eliminate fat)
1 medium to large yellow onion
1 8 oz package cream cheese (softened)
1 egg white (in a bowl)
1 package of Wonton Wrappers

Fry daddy or some other fryer filled with oil

Directions:
1. Brown the beef in a skillet, add onions and cook till done. Drain any fat.
2. Put in a bowl with the cream cheese and blend together.
3. Lay out either waxed paper or foil whichever u have on hand and put the egg white in a bowl. Open the wrappers and lay a few out on the paper/foil.
4. Take tablespoon of meat and put in center of wrapper. Put egg white around all four edges of wrapper and then bring up to meet in the center. (will post picture of what it'll look like later after I take one LOL)
5. Continue to fill all wrappers till meat is gone. ( I usually make 40-50 depending on how many are eating)
6. Once all are made, put about 5-7 in the fryer for about 5 mins or until golden brown.
7. Put in bowl and sprinkle salt over them

Serve.

*I usually serve them with chicken fried rice or those new asian sides lo mein noodles*

Tried a new recipe

Well yesterday I decided it was time to find some new ground beef recipes b/c I was tired of making the same thing over and over again. So I searched on www.allrecipes.com and then on foodnetwork.com I came across this ground beef wellington recipe on all recipes. It sounded good and I had most of the ingredients except I couldn't make the mushroom sauce b/c I'm allergic. But I changed it to brown gravy and sauteed onions and it came out excellent. I did make a few changes to the original recipe and everyone seemed to like it even Blayne ate his which I was surprised.

Here's the original recipe:
INGREDIENTS
sauce:
1/2 cup chopped fresh mushrooms
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon pepper, divided
1/2 cup half-and-half cream
meat mix:
1 egg yolk
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 pound ground beef
1 (4 ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
(this is for 2 wellingtons)
DIRECTIONS
In a saucepan, saute mushrooms in butter until softened. Stir in flour and 1/8 teaspoon pepper until blended. Gradually add the cream. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Remove from the heat and set aside.
In a bowl, combine the egg yolk, onion, 2 tablespoons mushroom sauce, salt and remaining pepper. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into two loaves. Separate crescent dough into two rectangles on a baking sheet. Seal perforations. Place meat loaf on each rectangle. Bring edges together and pinch to seal. Bake at 350 degrees F for 24-28 minutes or until a meat thermometer inserted into meat loaf reads 160 degrees F.
Meanwhile, warm remaining sauce over low heat; stir in parsley. Serve sauce with Wellingtons

Here's the changes I made to it:
instead of mushroom sauce just sauteed some onions in butter and added it to brown gravy.
and I added shredded colby jack cheese to the meat mixture and fresh parsley and a handful of bread crumbs. for 6 people I used 3 packs of crescent rolls and 1 1/2 lbs of meat and 3 egg yolks and then added the spices and such by guessing I don't like to use measurements when it comes to spices and such.

It came out very good.... the only problem which I will have to figure out for next time is that the meat made the bottom of the wellington in the pan a little soggy ..... I might just have to try a leaner meat next time to decrease the grease maybe. Tonight I'm trying a new chicken recipe. Will definitely let u know how that goes.

is sick yet again. I tell ya he can't go a month without getting sick. I wonder what it is...... It always starts out a fever, then runny nose and then into something else. We will yet again be missing church due to illness which I know it's better to keep him home but I really miss seeing all the new people I have met and sitting there listening to the pastor preach. I try to leave him home with just his dad or something but when he's sick it is all mommy and no one else. Which i totally understand I remember I was like that when I was a lot younger.

Well my best friend just informed me that she is on bedrest for the remainder of her pregnancy. She has a pump in her leg to stop the contractions, and the doctor says she may not even make it to 34 weeks. (which is 2 or 3 weeks away) I really know she's doing all she can to take care of herself and such. She has been my best and beloved dear friend since kindergarten. We have lost contact with each other a few times but always manage to find each other again. She is keeping me posted via email on how things are going and what not. I just pray that God protects her and the little one growing inside her.

On another note, my brother has finally announced the name of their son (due july 30th). As a tradition in my family we have always had our middle names or first name after a fellow member of our family. I was named after my great great grandmother on my mom's side, my sister's middle name was my dad's moms middle name and my brother is named after my father, my nephew is named after my dad and my brother and then my sister chose not to follow tradition except with my neice who's middle name is after our cousin who was killed by a drunk driver. Blayne's middle name is after my dad, brother and nephew (Michael). Our next child will have a middle name of someone on Justin's side. Well his new wife felt the same way when they got pregnant. So when they found out it was a boy she knew the middle name had to be after her father Phillip. But they had no name for the first name they were stuck on a bunch of ones. So after many many weeks of patiently waiting to find out what my nephews name was going to be we now have an answer.

They have decided to name him Brendan Phillip Evans..... Brendan is a name they both like b/c of an ex Red Wing Hockey player..... I laughed when he told me why they picked Brendan. None the less I love the name.

Now I can get the fabric and prepare myself to make the diaper bag with Brendan's name embroidered onto it.

SO excited ..... So many babies coming soon! I can't wait for one to be in our future.....

Sick....

Well since Friday last week I've had a cough well yesterday it got worse I was losing my breath coughing hard and it was giving me a sinus headache. So I ended up calling the dr's and got an appt for this morning. I went in and my ribs and whole body ached when I would cough and I was really struggling to breathe. So the dr listened to me and knew I needed a breathing treatment. So for 15 mins I sat in the room with a nebulizer and felt somewhat a little better. She came back in and listened to me again, I was a little better but not much. So she gave me prednisone (steroid) for 5 days 2 pills. Also, I have a new inhaler and have to do breathing treatments every night. So needless to say I will be staying at home til i feel better b/c when I go outside my coughing worsens and it makes it harder to breathe.

Please pray for me and I hope the steroid works.

Well I mentioned in a few posts back that we've been having difficulty trying to get pregnant with our second child. I don't know why we never had a problem when we got pregnant with Blayne. However, since I gave birth to Blayne I have had like 5 periods. I went on birth control when I went in for my 6 week checkup after having Blayne. I was on Yasmin for about 8 months and then we wanted to start again so I stopped taking it. May of last year was my last month of pills. June came and no period, then July and then August. So before we PCSed I went to the clinic on Kadena. She did some bloodwork and ran a few tests but I never heard the results due to the move. So as we were getting ready to leave the island I finally had one. WOO HOO right but that was to be misinterpreted.
The next month I got one and the next so I thought I was good and back on track. Well the 4th month came and went and nothing, so took test Negative. Then I thought it was due to the move and the holidays with stress so when January came and went with nothing I got a little worried. February came and still nothing. Then in March my sister in law advised me to talk to the dr about it so I made an appointment with the women's health dr on Whiteman. She and I talked and she decided to first run bloodwork and give me this medication to jumpstart a period. Well she said if it didn't work then call her within 2 weeks and she'd refer me to an offbase doctor. So I took the medicine, and NOTHING I was so upset and worried at the same time. So I called and she referred me off base. I then made an appointment and was going to see an OB doctor.
Well I went to that appointment and she decided to run more tests and also schedule an ultrasound to check the ovaries and all that. So of course she also gave me a stronger medication that would start a period. She said if 2 weeks after I was done taking it if I still didn't have a period to call her and let her know. So on the positive side it did help me to start one. It was not all that bad I thought it would have been a very heavy and very crampy one but suprisingly it was fine. Then I had to do specific days where I went in and did bloodwork and also the ultrasound. I finally have finished all the stuff she needed me to do and now I am waiting to see if I get a 2nd period or not before I go back to see her on the 23rd of June. She thinks that I could possibly have Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome. From what I've read it doesn't seem that bad but it makes it a little harder to conceive and also increases chances of miscarriage.
Needless to say I've been doing a lot of praying and reading up on what can help and all that. Lately though the Devil has been wearing me out. I know I shouldn't be listening to the little things in my head and just put my faith in the Lord as he gave us a wonderful little boy! I just can't help it I hate to even mention this but when I hear someone is pregnant I get frustrated and I know I shouldn't I should be ecstatic but sometimes I just feel like God's not there for us. But in reality I know he is and always will be for me. I know in my own time and when the Lord is ready he will give us another child I just get what is the word i'm looking for......Jealous I guess you could call it. It has been just about a year now and I'm hoping that when I go to the dr's she can give me a better answer to why I haven't had very many and why all of a sudden I just stopped after never having a problem til after giving birth.

I just need to believe in the Lord and keep reminding myself everything happens for a reason! I love the Lord and I will always remind myself of that especially when the Devil tries to kick me down.

Well since my last blog not a whole lot has changed but there are still little things that have happened.

First of all, Blayne had to go to an allergy doctor due to his stools being in diarrhea like state since birth. So they did the scratch test and everything came back ok he just has a few seasonal allergies. So he's on Allegra now to see if it helps with the sneezing, coughing and runny nose. So far it has helped but coughing is still there a lot. The doctor reported back to his PCM on base saying it was not allergy related. So we have to make an appointment with the PCM to figure out what's next. The allergist said the dr would prolly order a stool sample and some bloodwork to find out if it's something serious. We are hoping not but we'll see when we go back to talk to her. So I will be calling sometime this week.

The weather has been warming up and so we've been busy outside doing our yardwork and getting the flower beds ready to plant. I just love having a house of our own that I can do whatever I want to with flowers and plants and such. We are currently digging up an old bush that looks like it was never taken care of and we plan on putting a new bush in its spot.

We also will be getting ready to weatherproof the deck. What fun!

Our neighbor that we've been getting to know is introducing me to Amish Stores. She is planning on taking me to this huge one around here sometime in the next few weeks. I can't wait to see what all they have.

As for me and my situation with my womanly friend I have an update but it's pretty long and personal so I will update you on that later. Just need some prayers as I go for some tests and ultrasounds in next few weeks.

Well Justin has a TDY coming up and we have been saving up so that Blayne and I could accompany him to it for a little get away. He is attending a class at Global Knowledge for a telephone switch system starting Thurs. and ending Friday. Only 2 days ..... We are leaving tomorrow to head to Richardson, Texas. It's about an 8 hour drive from here. So we'll get there about midafternoon. I looked up what the weather was gonna be and it's supposed to be 85 and 86 degrees. Hope there are some nice parks around that I can take Blayne to while Justin's in class. We will be back on Saturday it's jsut a short trip. Just something for us to do as a family and also see another part of Texas. Enjoy your weekends!

has a small case of pneumonia. We ended up going to the dr's yesterday I thought he just had another ear infection. Well his ears, throat and nose looked normal. But his fever was 101.9 and she said she thought she heard something in his chest so she sent us to get a chest xray. Once that was done we went back to the room and waited. She said she saw a little something on the film and so he was going to get 2 shots of an antibiotic and she was still drawing blood to check for other things. Plus she was giving him oral antibiotics for 7 days. SO today he starts that. Still has a fever, still real clingy and sleepy......so we'll see by weekend how he does. If he still has a fever Monday I have to call back and then she's gonna see him again.

I know it has been awhile since I last posted. Since my last post things have kinda got back to normal but other things came up and just never had time to blog. Just this past week Blayne had his 18 mo old check up at the dr's well we waited almost 45 mins. before being taken back to be seen. Once we finally got back there they did his weight, height, head circumference and all that stuff. He is in the 25th percentile for both height and weight and in 15th percentile for his head circumference. With his height to weight ratio he is dead on in the middle which is great! He's not too big and not too short just yet lol. Well after the dr came in she asked if I had any questions or concerns well back at Kadena the dr's never really did anything when I would bring up the subject of his stool being so runny and soft all the time. This time I thought I'd just get the same reaction but no she was throughly concernced. Since Blayne has been born his stools have always been real runny and soft. Almost like he has (i don't like to say this) diarrhea. So she asked about his eating habits and drinking habits and all that. Asked me if he always has runny or stuffy noses.....well of course he's always got some type of runny or stuffy nose. So she got a bit concerned and has referred us to an allergy doctor. She told us that sometimes with food allergies it can cause loose stools instead of hives or a rash on the body so since there are many different food allergies in both sides of our families she definitely wants him to be tested. SO needless to say I was relieved and not worried b/c soon we will have an answer. After we saw the doctor she needed us to go get his blood drawn and tested for anemia and lead. Then head over to Immunizations....well I was not ready for all that poking and screaming but I figured we'd have to do it sometime anyways so get it done now.

So we headed to the Lab and he needed to find another person to help hold Blayne's arm while he did the blood draw. So we waited a few mins. went back and he sat in my lap and then the two lab techs took his arm and prepped it. Well at the first initial pinch he screamed but once he looked and saw the blood flow into the little tube to go into the other tube they use he was quiet and looked stunned at how something was coming out of his arm and going into a tube. He did very well and I was surprised. So then when we got done there we went over to the Immunizations and checked in. He was getting 2 shots today thought no biggie he does well. As soon as we went to the back he screamed like I never heard him before. We pulled his pants down and the guy held his legs as I tried to distract him but it was not working. I felt my heart drop to the floor with pain for my lil one. After the two shots I quickly picked him up and soothed him but he was just not happy. (also, he never had a nap that day and it was going on 4:15p.m.) So as soon as that was done we headed out and before we left the parking lot he was asleep.

Well that was the highlight of my week. NOT! lol

Not much else going on other than Justin finished ALS and went back to normal work. So hopefully we will be in full speed next week and return to our normal everyday routines.

Til Justin graduates from ALS.... he's so ready. These past 5 weeks have been so hectic. We've had to miss church, miss out on family time, and among other things. He's been so tired, had a lot of homework, and just was plain old miserable lol. He said it reminded him of basic and tech school. He is glad it is almost over he's ready to head back to his regular job and get back to our regular schedule. There even is a family conference going on at church this week and we can't attend b/c he's at school til 6:30 every night. With one car that makes it quite hard.....but hopefully this weekend we can relax and get back into gear.

Well Justin's mom, stepdad, and two sisters came down for Easter this past weekend. They arrived Friday morning and left last night about 9pm. It was a very fun and enjoyable time. Friday I took the girls and his mom to the park for a lil while. Then took them on base to pick up Justin and show them the area. I cooked lasagna for dinner and we just rested at home. Saturday we didn't do much except did a few errands and just enjoyed the company. Easter Sunday we had a hunt for the easter baskets and then had a family dinner with some new family I had not met yet that lives close by.

My friend in Okinawa, Japan just delivered her baby March 18, 2008 at 1551 his name is Austin Tyler and weighed in at 8lbs 6 ounces and 20 inches long. He is the most adorable baby I've seen. He has a full head of hair and him and mother are doing fine. WOO HOO! Congrats to the family!

Well for some of you, you've already heard this story but there's more to add. Well for about 4 mos now I have not had a cycle. I finally went to the dr's about 3 weeks ago for it. The dr did an exam and decided to put me on Provera....to "jumpstart" my cycles. Well she told me if within 7 days of ending the medicine if I had not started one to give her a call. So today was day 7 and still NOTHING. Well I called in a message for her. Her nurse called me back to let me know she said to give it through the weekend. If by Monday still nothing to call back and let the nurse know. If I don't have one the next step is she is going to refer me to an infertility specialist. I don't really understand why she'd send me there but maybe they have more experience in doing things to figure out why they all of a sudden have stopped. So please pray for me this weekend in hopes that my body finally returns to normal so we can start adding to our family.

Things have been crazy past couple of days. My mom came to live with us flew from Fla. on Sunday, got her settled in. Made some handbags and diaper bags for some friends. Taking care of Blayne, and helping Justin with ALS school. Wow I dont' think my life has ever been this busy.

Houseful of Colds....

Well this week has not been the best week for us. First off, Monday Blayne woke up miserable. He was coughing and had a runny nose full of stuff going on. HE was mostly congested and could tell he was not well. I called the clinic and waited for the nurse to call back. They were booked all that day so she told me to call back Tuesday morning and she's definitely get him in. SO that night was rough, he was up coughing all night it was so terrible I felt so bad. Well then Tuesday I got up and I felt a little worn out. My throat was hurting, I had the chills, and sweats. SO I knew I was getting a cold or flu. So I took my time getting up, called the nurse back she said she'd get him in at 10:10. So I called Justin told him the time and what not. So we went to the dr's waited in a full waiting room. Went back and the dr checked him out . He has a very serious ear infection (4th one in less than 6 mos.) Still has a bad cough and stuffy nose. So she prescribed antibiotic for his ear, and some benadryl for the nose and cough. It has been 2 days and his cough seems to be getting worse. SO she did say to call back Friday if he wasn't better with the cough. I can deal with the runny nose that's not a problem but it's too the point where he coughs that he almost throws up b/c it's a big coughing fit. I feel bad b/c I can't do anything but give the meds and hope and pray they work on him. On top of him being sick I have a bit of a cold, yesterday I was a little better but my ear was hurting b/c of all the sinus drainage so now i'm on medication as well. We've been napping together and just feeling miserable together. Justin I hope does not get what we have. I felt bad last night that we missed church but Justin took care of Blayne while I got some much needed rest which was nice but before I even laid down I read a view verses out of my Bible and did my own Bible Study.

Now I feel a little better today but still a lil worn down. Started painting the guest bathroom and will finish it up this afternoon during Blayne's naptime.....(I hope)

I'm still here. This week was hard. Blayne was sick had a high fever on Wednesday and Thursday, then has a bad cough. He didn't let me sleep much at night. We have gotten all the primer on the walls getting ready to paint the bathroom and laundry room. Still looking for a washer and dryer, and plenty of other things going on.

So bear with me as I try to recuperate and make some dr's appts for myself and Blayne. And meanwhile get a diaper bag finished figure out how to work my embroidery machine, paint the rooms, and finish taking down wallpaper..... and meanwhile putting clean clothes away and taking care of Blayne and myself.

Ok, well we finally made it to Sunday school this past week. (distance and baby make it harder)..... Not that I'm using that as an excuse. But anyhoo, they were talking about Spanking....

My one question is how do you know the appropriate age to start?? I mean Blayne is 17 mos old, doesn't really understand everything quite yet. I tell him no and he cries like it's the end of the world, I do admit sometimes I smack his bottom when he repeatedly does something he's not supposed to but is that right at this age? I mean I understood when he said not to use your hands but to use as the bible states a "rod" (spoon, paddle, things of that nature)...

But how do you know when it's right to start enforcing the spanking>?

Any help would be appreciated? Any sites or links to check out....

Things on my mind...

Well since we are finally settled in I have been doing a lot of thinking and planning for the year to come. We are trying to get pregnant again and hope that this time we get a little girl. We have already talked about all the changes we want to do to the house especially take down the wallpaper and paint and all that. Pretty soon my mom will be coming to live with us for awhile so we're hoping that things go well and she likes it here. It's mainly a trial period b/c she's been through a lot this past year and we all think she needs to get away from it all for awhile. She doesn't have a job, so she has really no money coming into her, she just has been down and very depressed. I hope that when she comes things change for her and for my family as well.

We had the pastor of the church we've been attending visit with us on Saturday this past weekend. He and his wife were so welcoming and they just talked with us and asked us lots of questiosn pertaining to our salvation and marriage and just little things to get to know us a little better. They also told us about how to join the church. We've been thinking it over for quite some time about joining. I just enjoy the sermons and the music everytime we go. Even though it is about 25 mins away from the house and with gas prices going up and down it is probably going to get to us after awhile but I believe God will provide us with the finances to be able to go the church, work, stores and what not. With me staying home it's only going to be Justin's income paying bills, mortgage, and misc. things we need. I have however started making purses that many people have asked me to make and have told me to try and sell them on Ebay and such. So once I get the house organized I will be pursuing that and see where it takes me. I hope it goes well and it gives us a little extra cash coming in for little things. Maybe save it up for vacations and to splurge once in awhile on something we really want.

I have really felt lonely the past few weeks now that we are so far away from the base and stuff. When we first got here I enjoyed going out with Liz and Tyler where she'd show me different things and such. Now being so far away it's hard to do much. Sometimes I know the devil is working in my mind when I feel that I won't make any friends here. There are plenty of women at the church that talk to me when I'm there but I just hope that someday I can have those moments where someone will ask me to lunch or just to go out and hang out for a little while. In Japan, I always had a friend asking me to come over, or go here or there, and stuff. Here I feel so out of place.

not feeling well....

Well today I am a little under the weather. Last night we had one of Justin's co workers over for dinner and to watch some movies. Then we decided to go out and go bowling. We had tons of fun just goofing around. Well needless to say my fun ended when we got home. My asthma started to act up from the smoke and cigarettes at the bowling alley and then with it being so cold out that didn't help matters much either. So on top of that my inhaler was empty. So I just puffed in a paper bag for a few minutes and took some medicine. I laid down for about an hour and just wasn't able to sleep comfortably. My mind had been racing ever since the move about all the ideas and projects I wanna do in the house. So I laid there and laid there. Finally about 4am I dozed off til 6 then up again til about 7:30 then finally just got up and went and sat on the couch and read my Bible. Well I'm sitting here typing this in hopes that I feel better but I am just so exhausted and worn out we decided to stay home from church this morning. I really do not like missing church. However, I'd rather not fall asleep in church or get an asthma attack in the middle of the sermon. So hopefully I can take a nap and then get refreshed for services this evening. First thing i gotta do Tuesday morning (since tomorrow is a holiday) is call the clinic in hopes that I can get in and get a refill for my inhaler. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

P.S. we also just recently got a brand new addition to the family. Her name is Sienna and she's a beautiful chocolate lab. she is 8 weeks old and is so cute and cuddly.

Been a long week......

Well we are in the house and still have tons of boxes everywhere! We have gotten most of the kitchen stuff put away but there is just so much more we need to do. I got Blayne's room somewhat done. Our room is almost done just have to wait til we get some pieces of furniture to put things away that we don't have anywhere else to put them. Most of our clothes are hung but have a bunch more boxes of them that need to be opened and then hung up. I didn't realize how much we had til we got it all back.

Tomorrow we will be unpacking mostly all day trying to get it all done. Whatever we can't unpack due to a piece of furniture we need for it will stay boxed up and in a corner somewhere. We do need to get a dresser for our room, a refridgerator (will be getting one this week), a washer and dryer and a china cabinet and a computer desk is what we will be collecting in the next few weeks.

Will be uploading pics to computer this weekend when we get time so will be posting pics from the holidays and of our new home.

Well we finally have gotten into our new house. We are so excited. They dropped off both shipments one yesterday and one today. We have so much unpacking to do but it is just so nice to have a place to call our home. I will load pics and such later on. We will be taking down some wallpaper and repainting a few rooms. We had a wonderful holiday back in Ohio. Will post pics later on as I get time.

Well Christmas is here.... I am up at 2am still wrapping gifts not fun! lol. This year Blayne so far has gotten spoiled rotten. We've had two family gatherings and one more today. HE is getting so much stuff I hope it all fits in the car lol. We have gone to so many people's houses I can hardly remember what he got from who lol....

Holiday treats....and pics.....

Some recipes that come to mind when the holiday approaches are the sweet ones lol. I always loved making cookies, pizzelles, cupcakes, and other holiday treats. This year due to the fact we don't have a place of our own I won't be making anything but will be definitely making some next season.

My Favorite one that i've found for cutout cookies is as follows:
Ingredients:
1 cup shortening
1 cup confectioners' sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).2. Cream sugar and shortening together. Add eggs and dry ingredients. Add the milk last.3. No need to chill this dough, simply roll out to 1/4 inch thickness, cut out and bake 10-12 minutes

This one is for Gingerbread Cookies they turned out pretty yummy.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups dark molasses
1 cup packed brown sugar
2/3 cup cold water
1/3 cup shortening
7 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground allspice
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 (16 ounce) package chocolate frosting
Directions:1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease one cookie sheet.2. Mix together the molasses, brown sugar, water and shortening.3. Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, allspice, ginger, cloves and cinnamon. Add to sugar mixture and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.4. Roll dough 1/4 inch thick on floured board. Cut with floured gingerbread cutter. Place about 2 inches apart on cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Cool and decorate with frosting

We got up the courage and put an offer on a new house that we absolutely fell in love with. It's out in Windsor, Mo. it's about a 20-30 minute drive to the base but the drive is so worth it. We are hoping that the inspection goes well and that this time nothin major is wrong so that we can get this house and finally have a place to call our own. I will definitely take pics of the house if and when we get it and post before and after pics of some of the rooms that I will be taking down the undesirable wallpaper and painting it a color I like. The first room is the master bath it has really outrageous hunter green with pink flowers wallpaper. DEFINITELY needs to go. Ask Liz she'll agree lol. Well I just hope all goes well. Wish us luck!

Oh and Also Liz told me to post this recipe on here for anyone of you who have never heard or tried this homemade wedding soup before so here it goes:

3 nice sized chicken breasts (cooked and shredded)
2 boxes of frozen chopped spinach
20-25 bouillon cubes (chicken flavor)
For the meatballs:
1-2 lbs. of ground beef (depending on how many you are feeding)
bread crumbs
1-2 eggs
parsley
salt and pepper
fresh garlic, chopped or garlic powder (ur choice)

flour and eggs to make dough balls
and one big pot! lol

Directions:
1. Prepare the meat, bread crumbs, eggs, parsley, salt and pepper and garlic in a bowl. Mix either with a spoon or by hand which seems easier. Shape into little balls. Put in refridgerator for a little while.
2. Boil the chicken breasts and keep pot of water but take chicken out to cool and then shred.
3. Bring the water back to a boil add your boullion cubes and spinach boil for about 5-7 mins.
4. Add your meatballs in be careful not to splash your self. Cook for about 5 minutes.
5. Add back in the shredded chicken, and while it's boiling mix the flour and egg together to form a dough consistency. Drop by little pieces one at a time into the pot and let boil for approximately 5 more mins.
6. Let stand for a little bit to cool off. Then enjoy!

I made this for dinner the other night and I was surprised that everyone liked it. My mom used to make this soup in the winter and the whole pot would be gone within 2 days because my dad and brother ate like 3 bowls of it at a time. My mom's recipe I have tried to do a little pot but have never successfully been able to do that. For some reason the big pot that this recipe makes is just better than making a small pot. If you do try please comment be and let me know how you liked it! Will be posting a few more recipes soon for Christmas treats~

Well we have been trying to find a house for awhile now... We finally found one that we liked, put the offer in, got it accepted and then started the paperwork and called for an inspection to be done. Needless to say the inspection had not gone well..... We were astounded by the things they picked out that needed alot of work and so forth. SO we backed out of that contract and now have found a wonderful home we love to death and it's everything we've asked for. We're just hoping that it's been well maintained and that we can get the VA to loan us the money to purchase it. so need MAJOR prayers !

Holidays

Well we just got done with Thanksgiving and it's been the first year since we moved to Okinawa and then back to the states that I did not get to cook anything this year. Being in Okinawa I helped make food all the time. This year since we didn't have a home per say we were invited to some people's house from the church we've been visiting. There were about 30 people there. It was awesome food and I enjoyed the fellowship. I am thankful that God has put some numerous people in our life to be there to help when we least expect it. Being without a house has gotten frustrating. I know that staying with our friends has probably put a damper on their life and sometimes we feel so bad we just wish we could pick up and go to our own home and let them have their house back. The past few days alot of things has been on my mind. We have the house paperwork in the process and this week we have the inspector coming to make sure nothing major is wrong with the house. We're praying that everything goes smoothly and that right after Christmas we will be able to move right in.

We are looking forward to going back to Ohio for Christmas this year. Actually having a true "family" christmas with both sides. Blayne will have his 2nd christmas with all the loved ones that has already missed his "firsts."

Well Blayne wants to type so have to save this before he deletes and gotta do it over again.

Since I blogged.....

Well a bit of info in a short time....

we are finally in Missouri and been trying to find a house.

we have been extremely blessed by God for having friends here to show us around and we appreciate them for all they have done for us in the past 2 weeks we have been here.

The boys are enjoying each other, Blayne has learned to say Tyler's name and misses him when he's not around. They just are so funny together it's just so comical with them two around.

Keith and Liz have been such a blessing and even though I may not say or express it to them if she reads this she'll know anyhow that we do appreciate them being in our lives and helping us out.

We went to their church and we are pleased with the services. I am excited to get settled in and start getting to know the area better.

We still have no place to live right now, we are searching for ahouse, we have found one we like just needs a few touchups but we're going to be looking at some more this week so we're leaving it to God's decision to show us which one is best for us. Keep those fingers crossed that we can find one soon.

Back in Ohio

Well we have been in Ohio for about 4 days and it's just not the same. I miss everyone back in Japan. I am glad to be home with family but my other family in Okinawa is truly missed. I haven't had much time to do some blogs so I figured I'd go for it tonight.

Well the plane rides were fine. Blayne did well. Slept most of them. Then he got a little sick and had a hard time changing to the time. Today was first day he was doing good. He is adjusting slowly but surely.

Well, I am going to bed....been a long week so far. Will post more later.

Well I got some disturbing news this morning. I called home to talk to my mom for a little bit to catch up with her. She said she had something to ask me. I said ok. She said to me "do you know a guy named Kevin J.?" I immeditately said "yes." She then came out to tell me that he just recently went home to be with the Lord.

I knew Kevin all through high school. He was such a great guy, had two twin brothers who I was close to as well. I knew his mom who worked at the local grocery store. She was always so cheery and always had a welcoming voice. I broke down in tears when my mom said he had passed away. Kevin was a dear friend, who after high school went into the military. I didn't see much of him but when he came home on leave I would always stop over there to say hi and see him and his little boy.

He had just recently went back to Ohio on leave from being in Iraq. He was riding a motorcycle when a driver pulled out in front of him. However, he was not wearing a helmet and got thrown from the bike.

It is so strange to see how someone can survive being over in the war area and then come home and make a mistake and that life just ends.

I will be keeping in touch with his family. He has a 7 year old son and I pray that God gives the family the strength they need to keep that little boy up in spirits and keep his dad alive in him.

Here are a few pics from the Birthday party we had here in Okinawa for Blayne. He really enjoyed that cake...

This week has been hectic. Monday they came and packed out our big shipment. Then Justin and Blayne both got sick and when we took Blayne to the dr's on Wednesday the dr told us he has a double ear infection. Not only is it double but the right ear is so bad that he called it a "cobble stoning" affect. In the next few days he said it possible could rupture and stuff. So I was not the least bit happy with that. Then Justin headed to the dr's and he's got just a sinus infection with alot of drainage causing a sore throat and on top of that he has an eye infection.

So needless to say I have not been able to do much since Blayne and him got sick. I just pray that I don't get sick.

On another note, I have a major prayer request. I found out that my dad has started his all day drinking again. Last night while on the phone with my sister he actually almost fell down the steps. I don't get why he is doing this to himself. He is showing no effort in trying to take care of himself. I have been praying for so many months for him. I have tried to talk to him and be a witness but he just doesn't wanna hear it. I just ask for prayers for both me and my dad. My mom however has become closer to me and I hope that when we get home I can be a better witness to her. She is so curious but I know deep down the Lord is waiting for me to get there to witness to her face to face. I have always wanted that.....

First trip to the Emergency Room Wednesday night after church. For the most part of the day i could tell he was not feeling well and he felt really warm so I wouild take him temp. In the morning it was at 100.7 so I gave him some tylenol. Next couple hours he kinda just laid on the couch real clingy and whiny. He got even warmer so I checked again it had gone up to 102.2 so more tylenol I gave him. Justin decided to stay home with him while I went off to church. When I got home he was laid out on the living room floor definitely not being himself. He was burning up so I took it immediately and it was 104.1 so we ended up calling a few friends of ours to let them know we were headed to the ER. When we got there he was so hot it was making me sweat. His eyes were glossy and red and cheeks looked like he had sunburn. So we told them the problem within 5 mins we were in the triage area he then took his temp again and this was within an hour and a half of giving him tylenol it was still at 104.1. So the nurse came and took us back to the room. We had a Japanese intern come and examine him and ask us some ?'s then he had to go talk to the attending and they'd come back. About 10 mins later they come in and talk about his behavior and stuff. So the attending told us since that was the only thing that was wrong that it was more than likely a viral infection. He gave us motrin and tylenol to rotate to keep the fever down and stuff. He did however tell us that if the fever stays high and stays for more than 4 days then we need to bring him back in for some tests. Well yesterday he was for most part doing ok, he did have a fever and then it ended up going down. This morning he woke up burning up again so we'll see. If by Sunday it hasn't broke we will be back in the ER. So pray for him and I know God is protecting him. Today he seems to be better. Just real sleepy every now and then so we'll see how it goes.

Well yesterday Justin finally got his orders in his email. Now we can finally start outprocessing and get TMO to come and pack out our stuff and get ready for the BIG move. I am so happy that we finally have them so we can go get the dates of our leave and everything. Time is going to fly by really fast now.

I can't wait when we found out where we were going I was so glad to know someone there already. We met them here in Okinawa at Maranatha. Both her and I were pregnant at the same time so we got closer with pregnancy stories lol. I am so happy to know someone there so that way I can get to know the area and I'm sure get to know the best places to go for food, shopping, and whatever else.

Praise the Lord he is good! Oh a quick little prayer request for me.... I head to the dr's today. I went off the birth control about 3 months ago now and am having some problems. I went off them so we can start to build our family again but somehow I have not had a "visitor" since I went off. So I go today to find out why it's been so long. Hope nothing is seriously wrong.....

When you think all is well....

I got an email this morning from my brother. I found out my mom has yet again got in an accident. She apparently passed out and hit a telephone pole. This is not the only time she has passed out for no reason. She has seen the doctor's and they can't determine why she has these passing out episodes. My uncle and sis seem to think it's epilepsy but I don't think that's what it is. I'm not sure what it is anymore. Just in beginning I thought it was because of her new med and thought it was interacting with her diabetic meds. So who knows.

On top of that my brother is moving from Michigan to Florida in next week. He's stressed out, will be moving, then getting married in November and trying to take care of everything on his end. My sister really can't afford to take care of my mom with her 3 kids and her being at home. We can't really do much being all the way over here. So my brother and I have just started to talk about maybe once we get stateside my mom coming to stay with us or going to live with him. I know that I have had that thought in my mind before and somehow I feel at peace just thinking about getting my mom to live with us. She has taken care of me so many years I know that in her time of need I would be more than happy to have her come live with us.

I know within the next few months til we are gone and settled down God is going to give us the answer in his own time.

On another note: Last night at church I got to see 3 little special darlings interacting with Blayne. They were so sweet and I just couldn't stop laughing at their cute lil giggles. They were playing with him, he was talking his baby talk to them, giving them high fives and they just kept on giggling. It was so cute. They are so precious and I am so happy to know those 3 little darlings as well as their brother, mother who is a friend and always will be in my heart, and her husband. We don't talk much but when we do I feel that God has put her in my life for a reason. She's such a blessing to me. And when she reads this she'll know exactly who she is.
We share a common thing with each other too. It may or may not connect us as family but I will consider her as family anyways. I thank God for bringing this special family into our lives.

Well the doctor determined that I have a cyst in my neck. Right now b/c it is less than a centimeter she was not concerned at all bout it i being life threatening or anything. She has put me on an antibiotic for 5 days. If it goes away GOOD....however if it becomes bigger I need to go back and get it removed. So let's pray this medicine works and I won't have to have anything done.

I am reading a book that my dear friend R gave me for my bday. It's titled "Hugs for Friends" and it's got all kinds of verses and stories of friends that are close. Last night I came upon this little Friend poem.

This poem just was so great to read. I sat in bed reading it last night and just thought about all the friends I have made in Japan. He is such a......

Handful! lol..... Well yesterday as I was preparing Blayne's lunch he decided to go into the kitchen with me and open the fridge. He took out the leftover spaghetti sauce I had and dumped it all over the floor. Well I was not happy about that. So I cleaned him up and then gave him to Justin as I mopped the floor which I had just recently mopped the previous day.
So today he gets up drinks his bottle, and starts to chase the cats. No sooner that I started to pick up the living room he started to tear the books off the book shelf. So as I'm cleaning he's rearranging where the books need to go. He carries them over to the baby gate and throws a few over, puts some others in middle of the floor and then some in the bathroom. So I just leave them where they are as I finish the rest of the room I was working on. Then he starts chasing the cats again and slides on one of the books to the carpet. It was so funny.

The little things in life that God hands us are so precious. Blayne is going to be one in less than a month now. We are trying to plan a little party for some friends here but trying to see if I have enough room in the house for that many people.

Also I need a little prayer for me, I have to call the dr's today after I get him down for a nap. For about 2 weeks now I have had a bump on my neck on the right side. Before when it first came out it hurt really bad and then got real hard, a friend of mine and I thought it was just a pressure pimple, well 2 weeks later and it's smaller and still a little painful. My mother has told me to call the dr's I don't think it's that serious but I am ready for it to be checked out. So hopefully they can get me in this week and figure out what it is and take care of it fast.

Here's my Little Helper, he just picked it up and started to move like I do when I'm cleaning. It was so funny he was giggling and talking away as he was doing it. I couldn't resist a picture. He's so big.... I can't believe he is 11 months already! WOW where does the time go.
He finally has 4 more teeth coming in. Two on top (canines) and two on the bottom beside the front two. He's just growing so big. Already running and chasing the cats and whoever else around the house. Will be starting to add to the family in next month. Hope we get results as quick as we did with this precious little one. I hope we have a girl this time! lol..... He's so good with babies.

Well it appears we know why we still have no orders. The other day Justin went into the Orderly Room to find out that the outbound assigment stuff was not all there somehow they lost a copy of one of the papers Justin knows he put with the paperwork. So we know now that the delay of our orders was due to people not contacting us to let us know we were missing a document. I was so angry when he called to tell me what and why. I was so *hot* and just couldn't imagine why they would not email or call him to let him know he just needed to bring in a piece of paper that took 5 mins to get. I just sat on the floor with the phone in my hand and was asking God why ? I just didn't understand how people could be so unorganized that they lose a document and then fail to contact the person so they can get another one to process the orders. Now we have to wait another 14 days (aug. 14th) and should have our orders by then. Well that was another thing that kinda set me off. We are to be leaving at the end of Sept... and yet we have only a month and half (if we get them in time) to pack our household goods, get medical clearance, and many other things to Out Process. I just don't see how people can do that to people. When all it takes is a simple phone call. I just ask that you pray for us and pray that this time they don't lose anything and can get us our orders in the time they are saying. I need God's help in knowing that he is here with us no matter what. I can admit I did lose my testimony that day for a little while and lost faith but I know now that things happen for a reason. Whether or not I understand them is a whole other story.

Birthday Fun

Well Saturday July 21st we ventured up to Ocean Expo. A few of our friends tagged along since they had never been there yet. We had so much fun. All of us girls drove in one car and the guys in another. We just chatted the whole way up and enjoyed the views. We got there parked and began our adventure. We went in and got our tickets, here was the journey lol. Blayne was asleep in the beginning poor little one was so tired. Then we went through and started the walking. We stopped to see all the little starfishes, sea cucumbers, etc that you can touch in the water (not my thing tho). Then as we started Blayne and his lil friend Savannah got all happy to see the fishes. They were going wild! Kept making noises and squealing as we looked in the window to see them swimming by. For most of the time Blayne just enjoyed the view. We showed him everything. Got up to the huge part with the big stingrays and whale sharks boy was he impressed. Just kept looking and his eyes got so big. It was quite fun! Took him up to see the big megladon teeth replica and touch the skin of the great white they found back in '89. He kinda got a funny look when touching that but he giggled. He really enjoyed the bull sharks too thought those were impressive ones. Then we headed outside wanted to catch the dolphin show but unfortunately we were too late. So walked over to see the sea turtles and then because it was so hot and we were all getting hungry we headed back towards the car. So off we ventured out to find somewhere to eat. Well I chose to eat McDonald's I was just in the mood for it and so we stopped at the nearest one. We all had good time sitting down and enjoying our food. Then we headed for home. Boy it seems so long on the way up but felt like we got home so fast on the way back. After our long day we came back to the house just to sit and watch a movie. I had fun it was the best day I could ask for.

Now Sunday, at church no one realized it was my birthday til after we mentioned it lol. So Mrs. Gray decided since she knew I was going with Kammie, Roxanne and Cherese to get my toes done next Saturday for my bday she was paying for my toes at least since she forgot my bday. I was so thankful for that gift. Then Pastor and Mrs. Nutt wanted to do something for me but they left yesterday morning for their cruise so she said when they get back they wanna take us out to lunch one day. So that was a nice thought too. I am so thankful to have so many friends that think of me in spite of me having to remind them lol...... I can't wait til Saturday for another girls day of going to lunch and getting my toes done at Cocok's.

Well we still have not heard about our orders yet. Still waiting. They told Justin at the orderly room about 14 days after he turned in his assignment paperwork. It has been way more than 14 days. Just wanna know when we are leaving this island so we can prepare the birthday party invitations and booking the hall and such for when we get home.

Blayne is now walking more and more and is everywhere all over the house. One minute he's in living room next he's chasing the cats into our bedroom. Today he decided to take all my books of the bookshelf and carry them to different areas of the house. AHHHHH! lol.... I love him to death and much of the time he cracks me up. Wears me out tho with the disappearing on me and then having to find him in the bedroom chasing or pulling on one of the cats. Myka seems to take it well but Boots hates it and runs and hides. He's a grouch these days. Myka still is a kitten and loves to play. Blayne was moved to the 1 year old nursery this past sunday broke my heart to see him move up again by himself he has a lil friend Ayden who is not competing with the workers for their attention. He was the only boy in there now Blayne's there they are so funny together. I'm sure after a few services they'll be fine and play together.

Well this weekend my birthday is coming up and I turn 24 ..... Wow never thought I'd see that age lol. We have a few friends of mine coming over and we're going to venture up to Ocean Expo and see the fishes and stuff up there. (I've been there but we wanna take Blayne before we leave) then we are gonna go out to dinner somewhere. Haven't decided where yet. We all have different tastes so who knows prolly end up at Chili's like always when we can't decide on one thing lol.

Well on Friday the typhoon hit us...>Here are some pics of the damage by our house, on Rt. 58 it was very flooded in parts, trees were all over the place. There is also two videos of the storm.... We had some damage in the house....Our windows had the water coming in like crazy, Blayne's room got the worst of it, had to throw out his rug in his room, and we had towels in every windowsill keep the water from gurgling......We also had some trash cans crash into our car but no damage....Our patio table also split in half so that was one thing we had to get rid of too....Boy this was a big one.....But we are all safe now.

What a wonderful week

Well this week was long and hard but in all it was quite wonderful. This week started off with the Missions Field Conference and it was hectic at first but later on in week it got better. On the 4th we stayed home and had a cookout with some friends we are trying to introduce to the Lord. We have brought the one couple to church before and they would like to go to church but they have admitted they are just lazy lol. So we're working on them. As for the other couple they are just not quite there yet. We did have a good day tho, went over to the Park for the festivites, ate funnel cake and then went back to our house to watch the fireworks. Thursday, the guys decided to get up early and golf (YUCK I wanted to sleep in) so I slept in. Then we got up and cleaned a little bit, then just hung out. Friday the girls decided to go to the pool while the men were at work that was fun. Blayne fell asleep again in the pool. Didn't get sunburn on his face this time. After the pool we all went home, got showers and the men went to the driving range. We girls went to the 100 yen store my one friend had never been to a yen store yet so I had to take her. We spend about $15 there. Walked around the rest of the area and then headed back home. Now today I am sitting at home relaxing, cleaning, and doing some much needed laundry.....Maybe even later head down to the bigger yen store if she wants to check it out. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Well it's been a wonderfully hot and humid weekend. Friday we had some friends over for a barbecue, I bought Blayne a little pool for him to keep cool in because he just loves to be outside. Then, Saturday we got up, Justin mowed the lawn, I filled up the little man's pool put him in lots of sunblock and put him in for a lil while. He was enjoying his pool, and the little boats inside with him. Then he got out, we went and got a hair cut for Justin, and walked around the BX for awhile. Meanwhile, I was not at all interested because it was hot and too humid for me being an asthmatic. So then we finally came home, I sat down and put Blayne down for a nap. Then we had to go to the church for Justin to practice his solo for tonight AHHH! (pray for him he's nervous) and it was so hot in the church so I was like BLECH! lol..... So I went and made copies of the music we needed for the month. Then we came home and our friends came over and the guys went to the driving range and us girls went to the BX (2nd time for me) b/c Angie was trying to find shorts that actually looked good and not the ones you see on those girls where u almost can see their bottoms. So needless to say that was a busy HOT day for me. We came home I put Blayne to bed and followed within 20 mins afterwards myself. Sunday was another day to add to the busy busy weekend. We first of all woke up late for church at 8:45 and we had to be out of house by 9:30 b/c we had nursery YIKES I got up got dressed, did my hair, makeup and got everything packed and ready to go while Justin kindly fed Blayne and changed his diaper. I got him dressed as Justin got dressed, and we got up and left. Boy I was surprised I got ready so fast..... Then we got to church, wonderful preaching this Sunday by one of the missionaries. Services went wonderful and met alot of the missionaries here for the Field Conference. Well since we've been working with the GI's I don't have to worry about lunch on Sundays. So we ate, cleaned up and left for home. Had to be back at church at 4 for orchestra practice. That is alot of running for a lil 10 month old boy. He fell asleep on way home at 2, slept til we left at 3:30 and was not liking the fact mommy had to practice and leave him with babysitters. I felt so bad I gave him to Justin and he cried all he wanted was his mommy. Last night we went to dinner after church with everyone from church. Talked to a couple who are missionaries in Phillipines and learned alot about waht they do there. It was so nice to talk and just have a good fellowship. When we got home I was so tired, I put Blayne to bed and just sat on the couch thinking to myself "why do I do all this stuff" well I heard a little voice say, "b/c ur doing it for the lord" the moment those words were in my ear I felt at peace. I love doing the Lord's work and I love when we have missionaries come to do services. The preaching is always great. I just felt emotionally and physically drained yesterday....then today is yet another busy day with cooking for the missionaries and services again tonight at 7. Thanks for listening to me and I hope that as this week goes on I can learn more about the Lord and continue to do his work and not to "complain" over what I've been doing. Please pray for me I will be helping a friend this week with cooking and meals for the conference.

Well my mom is finally out of the hospital. She's staying with my aunt and uncle for the time being. I haven't got to talk to her much I just don't know what to say. When I learned the truth about why she was in I was angry at her and the rest of my family for not telling me in the beginning b/c I could've gone home on emergency leave and been there for the time that she needed family the most. However, I have lots of my extended family and friends over here praying for us and for my family. I have until September so I guess waiting these 4 months to go home and see her may help. She is trying to get back on her feet and get a job, a car, and make enough money to be back out on her own again. SO we'll be praying and waiting to see what happens. Here are some new pics of Blayne....he is so darn cute. At his WIC appt he weighed in at 21 lbs 11.5 oz. and is 29 1/2 " long. BIG BOY!

Well I got news last night that my mom was taken to the hospital. She was found by the police passed out on the bridge that seperates our hometown and another. It's about I'd say almost 2 miles from my sister's house where she lives. So last night I didn't sleep well. Then this morning I got up to call home to see what was going on. They have admitted her in to the hospital her sugar levels went way too low and that's why she passed out. So they are keeping her 3-7 days until they can get everything under control.

I know things happen for a reason and at this time in my family's life it doesn't seem like the best thing. With my mom and dad having to move out of their apt. into my sis's home, losing their jobs and car things just aren't looking up. I know that in faith it'll all work out. My mom was trying to get Social Security b/c of her diabetes and how she should not work b/c of how fast her sugar goes up or down. They told her she had to have a doctor fill out some paper stating she couldn't work. So her family doctor said he wouldn't just b/c he didn't wanna have to deal with the paperwork. So she is now being referred to a different dr. that may or may not help her.

Please keep my family in prayers! I know in the end God will have an answer for all of this.

Well the new company that I had joined for the safer products was not what it seemed. I recently found out that that when you start with them and you bring customers to the company it's not all it seems to be. It's basically a get rich scheme but I also added up what the products would cost me a month and they cost way more than I could ever spend and on that note you aren't getting a big supply for the price you're paying. God has pointed me in a different direction and I feel more at home with the decision to back out of this company. I had been praying and didn't feel comfortable for a few days after posting the last message. For me God showed me that this was not something I should get into. I feel at ease knowing the information I found and such on this and other types of companies that may approach others for a get rich scheme or even another scam out there called the "pyramid scheme" believe me I searched it and found results that were not so positive.

Safer Products for your home

Well I just recently switched where I buy most of my household items and have started using safer products for my home. WOW what a difference they make in our lives. I can just sit at home and order my toothpaste, laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, deodarant and more just from the living room couch. It is so easy and quick. The products are safe for my family and my child! There are no harsh chemicals that could damage my child and they work! It is so amazing to me that I can have safe products for my family that aren't chemical based. I am learning so many new things about the store bought products what they do to ones body and how they can be linked to cancer! You won't ever see those in my house again!

You should consider that too and change for your family and children!

New place I buy products

Well I recently met a woman on another blog site. She introduced me to this welness company that offers some great products and business opportunities. So I prayed about it and I think I could start up with this company while staying at home with my son. The girl I have partnered with has been with company 3 mos and has 2 children herself. The other partner we are with has been with the business 3 yrs. and loves every minute of it. She has 3 kids and they love having her home and her working around their school activities and family time to make extra income. I have just started learning about what I will be doing and what my goals will be in the company. I can make anywhere from $100-5,000 a month depending on my achievments. I was on the defense about it but have prayed and I know that if I put my mind to it and put in the time and effort I know I can make at least $1,000 a month to help pay off bills and earn some extra $ for savings, vacation, etc. I can't wait til my first order gets here to try out the products. I am just so excited about buying products that I know are safe and healthy for my family. Stay tuned for my next blog of what I think of the products!

Well found out this past weekend that my mother had to leave her job because of her not making money they took the car back. So my parents are out of a car and may lose their apartment..... I have prayed and prayed for them and things just keep falling apart. Sunday at church I really prayed for God to use me as a vessel in helping my parents. They are unsaved but go to a catholic church. I've talked to my mom before bout our beliefs and church. She seems interested to know more but I always get stuck on what to say to witness to her. Sunday night while pastor Nutt preached I began to realize that there is a book that pastor always tells us to read it's called Prayer Asking and Recieving.... I have read this book and it's fantastic... so while thinking about it something in my head told me to buy a 2nd copy and send it to my mom with a tract inside it. So this Wednesday that's what I'm gonna do. Sometimes there are hidden messages in places you don't realize because you don't want to see them. God has proven to me time and time again that no matter where you are he will find a way to show you what he wants you to do. Past few weeks have been so long and hard that this weekend Justin and I sat down and discussed what we were going to do as far as PCSing and getting to our next base..which we should know in a few weeks where that will be. We are praying that the Lord will help us to save up the money and show us the way to a successful and stress free move.

update on our friend: he has been moved to the Cleveland hospital where he has started his rehab to getting his life back. He is going strong and we all have been praying for him.
